CSIO 4 * WELLINGTON – GREAT BRITAIN BRINGS HOME THE NATIONS CUP, BUT BEEZY MADDEN TRIUMPHS IN THE GRAND PRIX

As part of the Winter Equestrian Festival, the $ 150,000.00 CSIO 4 * Nations Cup saw the victory of the British team, with Ben Maher, Emily Moffit, Emily Mason, and Amanda Derbyshire. The team scored zero penalties in the whole event. Members of the team were Ben Maher, a gold medalist at the London Olympics, and three very young girls, respectively 19, 26, and 29 years old!
Second place went to the team from Ireland, with Shane Sweetnam, Paul O’Shea, Cian O’Connor, Dennis Lynch, that finished with 5 penalties.
Third ranked Mexico, with Eugenio Garza Perez, Mario Onate, Andres Azcarraga, Nicolas Pizarro, with 10 penalties.
The other teams in the field were Brazil, fourth; Chile fifth; Venezuela, sixth. Then the United States, Canada and Argentina, who did not take part in the second round.

The $ 205,000.00 Grand Prix went to the “local” rider, Beezy Madden riding Breitling LS with a clear round. Behind her, Richie Moloney riding Carrabis Z, still with a double net, but with over 3 seconds more in time. Third place for Adrienne Sterlincht on Cristalline, and fourth for Lisa Carlsen riding Parette, the last two double clear in the category.
